About Us
Welcome to SausageSteps, a brand born from love, worry, and the desire to give dachshunds the safe, happy life they deserve. We are a couple who fell completely in love with our little sausage dog and just like many doxie parents, we quickly learned how fragile their long backs can be.
After one scary moment where our dachshund jumped off the bed and cried out in pain, we felt that awful mix of guilt and fear no pet parent ever wants to feel.
That day, we promised ourselves:
Never again.
And we decided to create something that would help other dachshund owners avoid the same experience.
That’s how SausageSteps was born.
